Top 5 Beaches: No. 5

Gelliceaux Beach, Mustique

Mustique was the 1960's glamour spot in the Caribbean. The island, about the size of Hyde Park London, is famous for the privacy it offers. Set in an idyll, the airport's runway lights are turned off at nightfal
l and reopens in the morning. The perfect beaches are known for their natural beauty and have been carefully conserved. There is no artificially placed sand found here. Mustique's beaches have open ocean on the one side of the island and the calm Caribbean on the other. Gifting great surfing and equally excellent snorkelling. A favourite of Princess Margaret's, Gelliceaux is our no.1 beach in the world.
Not forgetting the island also boasts one of our best beach bars - Basils.

LOVE Review

Natures Playground
The Thai Elephant Conservation Centre (or TECC) hosts the Elephant Art Gallery, opened in 2000. The elephants in the sanctuary come for numerous reasons - abandoned, sickness, injured or threatened and if deemed possible
for their best interest, reunited with their families after full recovery. Other elephants spend the remainder of their days in the sanctuary. The elephants were introduced to painting when the Mahouts noticed them picking up sticks and doodling in the sand. The sticks were soon replaced with brushes and sand with paper and the elephants became artists. The Mahout will apply the paint, hand it to the artist (whether they take it in their trunk or their nostil is of artistic style and personality), prompt them to the paper and merely stand and watch. The elephants are known to make it extremely clear when the masterpiece is finished by placing down the brush and taking a step back to observe the piece. They rarely veer off the paper proximity. Other activites including music and polo are also available for those not as talanted as Kaew or Jojo.
In this conservation centre is the first ever arteficial insemination elephant to be successfully consieved in Asia which is an extra special story. You can buy the elephant paintings from anywhere in the world to support the amazing cause.

The Grapevine - World Elephant Day

On August 12th 2012 the first ever World Elephant Day was launched with an aim to teach us about the urgency of help needed for the elephant worldwide. Poaching, habitat loss and human-animal conflict are just a few of the threats which lea
ve us on the brink of seeing the last of this animal in the wild.
World Elephant day works towards better protection for wild elephants and better management of their natural habitats. As well as better treatment for captive elephants and where appropriate the reintroduction of captive elephants into the wild.On world elephant day the general public are welcomed to express their concerns and share the story of this magnificently valuable animal.

Fashion Spectators

The post-Olympic blues were anticipated as a difficult time for all of us but at Love Brand HQ we have found it unexpectedly easy to cope with the withdrawal symptoms. We are hence forth dubbing this week the Fashion Olympics. With all the athletes still in their prime, their personalities have come out to show us that fashion and sport do not only merge in Wimbledon week. Here are a few of the sportsmen we have been lusting over.

Top 5 Beaches. No. 3

Bazaruto archipelago in Mozambique is the largest and one of the only protected national parks in the Indian Ocean and has earned the reputation as the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’. Known for it’s tidal sand dunes around the island and it’s surrounding islands, which create the most extraordinary views of flat sands dipping in and out of the water. This also attracts a wide array of seabird species. Just offshore the island boasts untouched coral reefs and the largest dugong population along the East African coast which has especially grabbed Love Brand attention as we love the attentiveness towards endangered species. You are presented with numerous activities on the island from traditional sailing boat safaris to horseback riding on the beach to deep-sea fishing to witness first hand the incredible population of enormous Black Marlin. And as if you were questioning if this island and beach didn’t have everything, The Archipelago Resort is said to have the most delectable sundowner cocktails in the area.

Top 5 Beaches. No. 4

Our number 4 top beach in the world is Illetas Beach, Formentera, Ibiza. Formentera is a small unspoiled spit island just 20 minutes from Ibiza Port. It is our number 4 because of the pristine sand and crisply clear turquoise water which is so unusual for the Mediterranean, also locals swear by the medical properties that the waters hold.

Coloured in - Boy's Spring Summer Style

AUScreen suncream is a fun alternative to this beach necessity. Before it sinks into the skin creating a tough SPF factor 30 protection it sits on the skin in bright green. Such a winner for little boys who like to play hulk.

This Sunuva linen grandpa collar shirt is the perfect equilibrium of smart and comfortable. The boys will love the skull and crossbones printed on the back too.

Love Brand's Pineapple Punch print is so much fun and perfect for the boys (available in men's sizes as well).

The perfect fix for any outfit. These Ralph Lauren canvas boat shoes look very sophisticated and are extremely friendly for the little ones due to the velcro strap.

Circus Elephant Retirement Home!

Love Brand has recently discovered yet another adorable ode to Elephants. The Circus Elephant Retirement Home is situated in Tenesee USA and based open 2,700 grand acres of land for these old working elephants to enjoy the remainder of their days.

On the grounds are numerous facilities for these spotlight seeking animals such as a lake for bathing, plenty of vegetation and a heated barn designed to keep both african and asian elephants comfortable. Due to the need for complete serenity in the sanctuary, it is not open to visitors but there are live cams for you to keep an eye on your favourite performer.
